Ramón Medina is the Global Pastor of the Spanish Ministries at Champion Forest Baptist Church (CFBC) in Houston, Texas. Since 2006, he has served as pastor of Champion Forest’s Hispanic congregation and has been part of what the Lord has built into one of the fastest growing churches in the Latino community in the United States in recent years.
Under his leadership, the church has developed a strong church planting program that has resulted in the establishment of more than 50c congregations over the past five years. In addition, Pastor Medina has served as Vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention and has held national leadership roles in various denominational initiatives.
Pastor Medina earned a degree in Business Administration from ICESI University in Cali, Colombia. He later obtained a Master of Arts in Missions from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and completed his Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis in Leadership at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.
Ramón has a deep passion for multicultural ministries and the multiplication of healthy churches that reach all kinds of people. He is married to Nhora, who shares his heart for ministry. Together they reside in Spring, Texas, with their two sons, Daniel and Mateo.
